  2. I saw Red Green (PBS) try and make a giant wok out of his using, what else, duct tape. I've never seen someone make a work of art with one. Deb

  3. This satellite dish is no longer needed for T.V. but is so well installed along and under our herb garden fence I decided to make it easier on my eyes. It is surrounded by one of our rosemary bushes. Rosemary gets out of control in our gardens.

Miss Sandy, I do recall you have made a beautiful pond out of your old, big satellite dish!

noble pig, like making a silk purse out of a sow's ear!

Thistle Cove, thanks, and yes, David called me about an hour ago, will email you.

Debbie, Red Green, he is so funny, and my husband is told by many people he reminds them of Red Green. I bet most of the people reading my blog can come up with wonderful ideas for satellite dishes.....

  4. I am laughing now, not at your red satellite dish, but at what Debbie said!!! That is one of my favorite Red Green episodes. He trys to turn the huge satellite dish into a wok.

Love your dish, Kathy. You have one great eye for whimsical!

  6. Mary, ( Annie's Goat Hill ) Red Green is hilarious, isn't he? I especially liked the episode where he turned a washing machine into a BIG bread maker!

Mildred, thank-you. Maybe Harriet could use a retired satellite dish as a water bowl or small swimming pool.

  11. Red Green is very funny but also very very dangerous! I love your creativity with stuff you have hanging around.

I thought of you the other day when a craigs list add had two small chick feeders for sale. "Antiques," she said, but no holes, would make cute planters, that's why she bought them. Asking Fifteen a piece! Bet had just priced them up at the feed store and passed because they were five bucks!

Doesn't fifty five in the morning feel good? Now for some rain eh?
