In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, Kathy - and all you hold dear! We had the joy of rediscovering something from my husband, Ed's past - stollen bread! An Amish farmer's market opened in town this year and their bakery had some for sale. As soon as he saw it he was whisked back to his 1950's-1960's childhood when his mother made this for all and sundry. It was his Christmas breakfast and then some. He lost her when he was only 12 years old and hasn't tasted the bread since. He said the Amish recipe was the exact taste - we gave it to his children with a photo of his mother. Memories and home made traditions - joy to you!
