I know I've shown this Royal Grafton teacup before, but I love it and it is a perfect teacup for Autumn table-settings with its' cheerful yellow & white color and orange red dots.
I set the table for the Thursday Ladies' Bible study with my Charleston by Noritake china. The quilt in the center of the table was made by one of the ladies from the Ohop Ladies sewing group , a local group of ladies who meet every week at the grange to sew.
This old buffet once upon a time belonged to my husband's grandmother. It holds many precious memories along with our china and table linens. Sometimes it holds dessert too !
Lunch was baked chicken breasts, home-made coleslaw , home canned applesauce, spinach salad ( thanks Marlene ) and chicken salad ( thanks Karen ). Dessert was a chocolate cake and a butter pecan cake...thanks to Duncan Hines ! We had cranberry juice , coffee, & tea to drink . After we ate we shared our thoughts on our study of I Samuel using After God's Heart by Myrna Alexander.Later that day I sipped tea from my cheery teacup as I pondered the study and how I long to be a woman after God's own heart but so often my selfish desires prevent this. God is gracious and merciful though and He will forgive me and continue to teach me His ways if I seek Him.
I am glad I had time to clean up, and even more time to ponder than I had thought because my dishwasher is not working. I washed all the dishes, pots & pans the old fashioned way, by hand.
"A heart that does not try to compromise God's command is a heart that is His. A heart that desires to follow the Lord and obey His command is a heart after His heart." I Samuel 15:20 Myrna Alexander
I am linking with the ladies listed below for all things Tea , for my Tea-Time Tuesday.

How lovely and festive everything looks. It sounds like your Bible study was a good one, giving you something to ponder afterwards.
Your post inspired and encouraged me.

Oh Kathy you set such a nice table with such care and attention to detail I am sure this was a great study class and pondering while doing dishes is always good. I have never owned a dish washer I love doing dishes and thinking. Hug B
Your dining-room draws me right in. It is so welcoming. Love the decor for Fall and I must tell you that the buffet is absolutely gorgeous. I love when there are two levels like that and such beautiful wood. That cole slaw looks yummy and I would be one of the tea drinkers. :) Deb
I love those yellow cups! Yellow is my favorite color. Everything looks so beautiful, Kathy, and the meal sounds delicious.
Sometimes I wash dishes by hand even when the dishwasher is working fine because it gives me some time to mull over things in my head. :)
What wonderful photos. Samuel is one of my favorite Bible characters as I love the Old Testament and especially the history of our early life. What a beautiful feast you had there and the presentation is wonderful!
Hello dear friend: I love how we all have tea cups and china for each season. Yours are beautiful. I would love to be close enough to attend your bible study. Have a great week. Blessings, Martha
Hi Kathy,
Sounds like a wonderful Bible Study. The book of Samuel is very interesting and helpful. The OT saints certainly weren't perfect but then the Lord wanted us to realize that. For no one is perfect except Himself. So many lessons can be gleaned from studying those characters that lived long ago.
What a charming picture your buffet makes laden with cakes and other goodies. Pretty teacup too. I often wash dishes by hand because somehow I find it soothing and gives me time to ponder things. Thank you for coming to tea and have a beautiful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Yellow tea cups are my favourites! I think I own four now. Always so cheerful, aren't they? Hope your week is lovely. :)
Beautiful tea table. I am sure your guests loved your preparation for them. I do really love that yellow tea cup! Yellow is just so cheery!

Terri
