Tranquil : "Calm, undisturbed , not agitated." Webster's Collegiate Dictionary ~Yes, a perfect word for my time spent pond-side. Thank-you for visiting me here at Cedar Pond today , I hope you too have a special spot for tranquility and reflection, even in the midst of seeming chaos. If you do, will you tell me about it ?
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

Moments Of Tranquility & Reflection
I have no words of wisdom or funny stories for this post. I'm simply sharing a few moments of my time spent pond-side here at Cedar Pond. This is where I go for tranquil moments , sip my coffee, sometimes read, and always receive inspiration from the surroundings. ( The geese are Ella & Fella and they swim with our flock of ducks.)

A kind word lifts my heart,a humorous word makes the day lighter,a word of wisdom gives me perspective,thank-you for your comments. I am truly honored you have read my blog and taken time to leave a few words about it. I read all the comments, and often answer them here in the comments page.~ Thank-you ! ( Because of the enormous amount of spam from anonymous comments I have decided to not accept "anonymous" comments anymore. )
Hi Kathy, Ella and Fella are beautiful; your video is so calming. I know your days are busy from beginning to end. I think of you often and hope the week ahead holds many blessings for you.
ReplyDeleteHow peaceful and calming it would be to sit there in that setting, enjoying Ella and Fella. Just letting God's blessings roll over you, His love and peace filling and surrounding you. Aaaahhh!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing and have a wonderful week ~ FlowerLady
Oh Kathy,
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful and I think I'm in love with your ella and Fella, if I ever get to live on a lake or have a pond, I think I have to have my own curly feathered ducks!
Blessings to you and yours,
Teresa,
sugar, spice and whatever's nice
perfect 'read' at the end of a sunny, Sunday evening...
ReplyDeleteEven your pictures gave me a sense of peacefulness and serenity. I have a bench at the far end of my side garden that I like to sit on in the evening to gather my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteFor me.....my yard...my garden...my morning coffee :)
ReplyDeleteAmong the flowers in my yard is where I find that kind of serenity, Kathy. Beautiful photos! Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteKathy, having a place of one's own is important; perhaps people don't realize how important because they've never had such a place. I've always carved out a place where I can have morning devotions; it's absolutely imperative for my state of mind and the rest of my day.
ReplyDeleteBTW, have you ever considered having your comment box open separately? That way, people can comment in a separate box and return to your blog to read other posts. Just a thought...
Your place of peace is so wonderful. The two white ones are a blessing to see and for you to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI believe those are the prettiest geese I've ever seen. I'm so glad you have them.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful! Cedar pond is lovely. Thanks for sharing such tranquility and for your nice visit to my blog. Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteLovely that you have a place like this. I do too. We are blessed.

I just love Ella and Fella! Sweet little video clip of them. I sit on my deck which is all enclosed by trees, very peaceful and secluded, with lots of birds to watch and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteHello Kathy...
ReplyDeleteThe last few days an old post on my blog is being visited...curious, I clicked the post to see if there was something there that Spirit wanted me to revisit. In the comment section was a comment from you, which made me curious to stop by Ceder Pond. Here I discovered this post, which spoke volumes to me, especially since my last post was about quiet time. Your video and photos are lovely and invoke calm within. I agree, that sometimes we simply need peace, and should seek out those places, even if they are in our mind's eye, and visit there awhile.
I'm glad I was reconnected here, if only for a moment. And also, congratulations for all the JOY coming into the lives of you and your family!
Blessings for a loving day,
Marianne
