Happy and cozy days ahead. Have I mentioned I love this season ? Autumn ~ I love you !
( Picture is of my loom in our upstairs landing where I can see my sheep out of the window as I weave.)
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !
A kind word lifts my heart,a humorous word makes the day lighter,a word of wisdom gives me perspective,thank-you for your comments. I am truly honored you have read my blog and taken time to leave a few words about it. I read all the comments, and often answer them here in the comments page.~ Thank-you ! You mention a cozy autumn ... I must say that your loom with its beautiful red yarn being woven into something lovely is very cozy. Will you work away at this piece as the days outside grow colder?

What a beautiful loom :)
ReplyDeleteAutumn does seem like the perfect time to work with wool!
How wonderful to see this lovely space where you create using the wool from your own sheep.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading about what you did with your garden harvest.
Our weather was a bit cooler yesterday, gray and windy. Today it is partly cloudy and breezy.

That window gives you a perfect place to work even when the snow is falling. I bet the jam tastes great. You work very hard to get all of that prepared and canned.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good feeling to get the things that need to be done......done and then to sit and do what you enjoy working on! I love the way your loom and creative spot looks! Keep enjoying the wonderful weather!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to sit and weave! It must feel so satisfying to get all that canning done!
ReplyDeleteLots of work to putting up the years harvest but so worth it! Love your work space!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful days for doing some inside things:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love gardening Kathy, I'm glad we live in a climate where there is a break and other things can take our attention. Such a vibrant red on your loom, enjoy these cozy fall days.
ReplyDeleteBack again, just saw Thistle's skull and thought - what is this? How sad you lost the ram you had high hopes for. Can you imagine if our babies rammed us for milk? Yikes.
ReplyDeleteYou are a busy farm woman; I really admire all the work and love you put into your life. My mom just sold her loom, but she got many years of enjoyment out of it, and seeing yours reminds me of her weaving. I do love autumn, too, my favorite season of all.
ReplyDeleteYour garden produce is a lot of work and keeps you very busy, but it is so rewarding to enjoy the results of your labor. Autumn is a lovely season.
