The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Best Christmas present , my first pair of overalls. Never mind the clutter of Christmas packaging and new gifts of much appreciated wool socks behind me , my new overalls are amazing. I just slip into them all the while still wearing my pajamas and voila , warm and ready for chores outdoors in the below freezing temps we had for awhile here at Laughing Dove Farm . I do believe me and my new overalls will be inseparable for awhile , even into February. Yes, they are the gift that keeps on giving, thank-you Jim !

  4. Very practical. I might consider some for my lawn mowing instead of having to keep pulling up my pants, LOL!

  5. Let us just hope that you won't need them by the next month.

  6. Your new overalls are cute. Remind me a bit of skiing gear (the one time I went skiing). And anything that keeps one warm is great! Also anything you can wear *over your pj's* is great too!

  7. They are *wonderful* and ever so useful! I only want to know where they were purchased? Mine are too long...or is it I'm too short?...and I keep tripping. Insulated overalls are difficult to find in short, chunky, Granny Sandy size...lol.

  9. The overalls are great and you do look so cute in them. You have beautiful Hair, by the way. I recently used my cutest pair of overalls to make a scarecrow, but still have a pair that I like to wear.

  10. I love em, and you look fabulous. Trips out in the cold are no problem with the right clothing. Thanks to my hub I have many articles of Carhartt. Also for Christmas he got me steal toed, warm outdoor boots and ammo. I try and participate in his gun interests. The boots work well when I'm trudging around the fields looking for the clay pigeons I missed. :D

  11. Who says the utilitarian can't be romantic? For some of us, perhaps even most of us, romance doesn't always mean candy and flowers. A man who is aware of a woman's interests and acts or buys accordingly is the best kind of romantic. And if he can cook too, he's as close to perfect as anyone will ever get.

I am thinking the only thing you need to complete your shepherdess ensemble is a sheepskin coat.

  12. I know overalls are useful on a farm or around animals but as soon as you said you can wear your pyjamas underneath I grasped what a great gift they were. Enjoy this nifty present!

  13. Great idea to put them on over your pj's! I always thought I'd get animals (chickens, cows) when we moved to the country, but I decided I didn't want to get up and feed them in the cold weather every morning. I guess they wouldn't mind pj's, would they!

  14. ...and they look very nice too. I feel most comfortable in my flour sack apron dress, which I can wear over anything. I have two of them and love them to bits.

My favourite Christmas present was a cuckoo clock! something I've wanted forever..

  15. h, they look warm! If I lived up north I would definitely want a pair or two. It doesn't really get that cold here, but my husband has a pair he wears to work on the really frigid days.

  19. Well, you won't believe this -- but I was just looking at overalls last week! Did you get Carhart? Are you sure you aren't my sister?
