Children leave their boots in the windows and hang stockings by the fireplace as they expect Mikulas to bring gifts. If the child has been good all through the year, Mikulas leaves the boot filled with goodies such as candies, walnuts, apples, dates, tangerines and chocolate Mikulas figurines.
