In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

A kind word lifts my heart,a humorous word makes the day lighter,a word of wisdom gives me perspective,thank-you for your comments. I am truly honored you have read my blog and taken time to leave a few words about it. I read all the comments, and often answer them here in the comments page.~ Thank-you ! ( Because of the enormous amount of spam from anonymous comments I have decided to not accept "anonymous" comments anymore. )
That is a cute story!!! Grandma Baa has a nice ring to it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Kathy. What fond memories that boy has, and is still making! Granny Baaa!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a friend that used to answer his phone, "Baaa," whenever we called. One time I saw on the caller ID that he was calling and I answered, "Baaa." The person hung up, called back, I repeated the first answer and soon realized it was not my friend on the phon at all! It was rather funny. :)
What an adorable story! I love listening to my small flock calling me 'baaaa' -smile-.
ReplyDeleteadorable story - the heart has reasons and children seem to listen to their hearts better than adults manage. I played the baaa video for DH and he said "sounds like our house" I did enjoy seeing you at the end spreading out some hay -
ReplyDeletehmm verification word is ditiotsp - or idiot special LOL???
Such a cute story Kathy. I sure did enjoy the Baa video yesterday and sent several people to your blog to view it!
ReplyDeleteKaren's oldest insisted on calling me Ding Ding when he was little. I HOPE it is because I usually was practicing piano when he was around!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, too cute, when my niece who I visited in Georgia before they moved to Georgia, they would come visit us often and she was learning to walk, I brought out one of our baby goats to her and of course the kid goat gave out one of her loud maaaaaaas and my niece copied what she was saying but I'm not called Aunt Maaa though, I'm called Aunt Amy but she used to call me Aunt Mimi before she pronounced Amy. But some of our goats have said my name though.
ReplyDeleteI knew it,you are the mama to those animals, and your grandson knew it too! It is only natural for him to call you what they call you. That is a sweet story...
ReplyDeleteThat's such a funny story! I probably would have never figured out why!
ReplyDeletedon't be too frustrated with me, Kathy. I am trying to send you a comment...maybe this time will do it.
ReplyDeleteMy first grandson also, "named" me and it has stuck through all these years, 44 to be exact, and all the granchildren use it...MIMI
Yours with the sheep is really a cute story.
Audrey
That was such a cute story, Kathy! And I think Grandma Baa is very appropriate for you!
ReplyDeleteHow very sweet! He looks about the age of my little guy. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's like that saying, "when in Rome,do as the Romans do?" {: Such a cute story and one that he will remember when he grows old. blessings,Kathleen
ReplyDeleteShellmo, I consider it an endearment!
ReplyDeleteMary,ha ha, that is something I would do!
Thistle Cove, when the sheep baa, they are calling our name!
LindaSue,idiot special for me! Thank you for the laugh.
Mildred, now I think Ding Ding is a funny name...and I hope it was because of your piano playing too.
Amy, I had goats that said your name too. One of my sheep actually moos!
Southern Comfort, if you listen closely to them you can actually hear at least one sheep saying "Mawwwwwwww", so I guess you're right!
Nancy, I think I was pretty slow to have taken 3 years to figure out what CT knew, my name is Baa! Thank-you for your comment!
Audrey, you left a comment ! Thank-you! And yes, I have heard some of your grandchildren call you Mimi, with love.
Farm Chick Paula, thanks. I think it is appropriate too, and I have been known to stamp my foot like a cranky ewe trying to protect what is precious.
Voice of Melody, if your little guy is this age then you are having lots of fun and also worn out in the evening...and probably needing a nap!
Kathleen I hope he likes this story, he is getting to the age where I hope I don't embarrass him ..too much.
Amazing how children can develop a sense of humor or connections so early in their little lives.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet story. Baa seems like a perfectly fine name for you to me. :-)
