Dots The Frog

Granddaughter caught a frog and named her Dots. Dots has dots, lots of dots.
Dots required a lot of worms and bugs , and granddaughter had help from her Grandpa to catch them for her pet frog.Dots had a little home in a big plastic container with moss in it.
Look, a big worm from the garden, thanks to grandpa's help. Dots loved this worm and gulped it right up. Dots loved to eat the flies and moths caught for her too.
Dots really needs her home on Cedar Pond though. After a few days of being Granddaughters' pet, Dots was released back to the spot she was caught , at the edge of Cedar Pond. We have seen Dot before and we think we will be seeing her again, near the camp fire area, soaking up the sunshine and catching bugs. Maybe one day she'll be sharing the pond with her grandchildren.

  1. I have never seen a more beautiful smile than your granddaughters. Dots is very cute and probably really enjoyed her special time of being pampered. It seems Cedar Pond is the perfect place to entertain grandchildren. Happy Father's Day to Jim this weekend. Love to you all Kathy.

  2. Very cute granddaughter, Kathy. She looks so delighted with her pet. Dots is cute too, but in a different way. ;) I think your pond is a perfect spot to share with grandchildren, whether they are human or not!

  3. wonderful for you to have one of the grands at a time - they get an opportunity to enjoy your attention. Keeping a pet frog for a few days is just right - frog enjoyed the feasting and you didn't have a frogaquarium to tend! Pond would be a special place to share with a young person - just as you are doing. Bless y'all - and have a beautiful Father's Day with that good dad and grand dad on Cedar Pond!

  10. As we live in the country too, my Grandchildren are having so much fun! The six year old says not many girls will pick up a frog unless they come to Granna's house. But now he sees there is other girls that love to come to a farm! They love Dots!
