Ducks ~Just Ducks.

Ducks , viewed from our front porch as they eat the sunflower seeds dropped from our bird feeders by the feeding wild birds. This is my flock of ducks. They are released from their pen every morning to wander as they will around our property, swim in our pond, sleep in the sunshine on our big front lawn.
I love my ducks. At the close of the day my ducks pen themselves up. I need only remember to close the door of their pen and latch it, thus protecting them from the many predators we have around our home that love duck for dinner. In the morning I will again release them to wander and swim, as I sip my first cup of coffee of the day and watch them.

  2. Very nice, we have Muscovy ducks that free roam our 3 acres that's fenced in, they don't do well if they're penned up though, they're pretty tough but sometimes the coons and opossums do get them but not very often though.

Our ducks don't need much water at all so we just put out black rubber dishes out for them to drink out of and splash around in.

  3. That must be fun! I've always enjoyed ducks. Your yard is lovely, as you've worked hard and long to make it so. Guess I'll just settle for the hummingbirds and wild birds. :D

  4. I didn't know they would pen themselves back up again in the evening. I thought you'd have to go and round them up. I bet they are fun to watch.

  9. We used to have ducks in our pond but they were a rowdy bunch and would never think to come and get penned in for the evening.
