Our Old Cedar Tree ~ Extending the Drawing For Give-Away

 We love this huge, old cedar tree that sits on our property. It overlooks the sheep pens & woods and was enjoyed frequently by our children as they grew up. Now our children's children climb this tree.There are several more huge branches reaching out all around the tree. It would be perfect for a sturdy tree-house, but for now a ladder and a rope & room to sit are enough.
Last weekend and all last week were event-filled days, some planned. However, 5 days of this past week I was away in the hospital with one of my grandchildren. I am grateful I was able to be there, but I was unable to get much done at home. Therefore I am extending the give-away celebrating my 5 year blogging anniversary for one more week. I will have a drawing next Sunday evening, August 11. I will add your name to the drawing as many times as you comment and the winner will receive a flock of 3 Wee Little sheep.     All you grandchildren in one place - that is a bit of a dream, and one that I have for late this summer. Your grands are growing up!
    I hope all went well with the hospitalisation.

    Oh that is a beautiful old Cedar tree and your family well what can I say but the same thing. beautiful you are very blessed. I am glad you are home and hope your grandchild is doing better. Take care.

    oh my goodness - strong tree and beautiful grands. Glad you are at last home and granddaughter is improved. You must hate to close your eyes - they all grow another inch! What a blessing

    Wonderful pictures of your grands, Kathy. I love big, old trees too. I spent a lot of time climbing a maple tree in our back yard when I was a young girl.

    That is one of the biggest cedars I've seen. Ours are kinda scrawny around here. I know you are thankful for each and every one of those kiddos, and I'm happy that all is well from the hospital trip. They sure are growing up fast!
    It is good to get home from somewhere you'd rather not be. :D

    So happy to hear that your grandchild is home and better. You are lucky to have some an awesome tree - I just love tree swings, but no tree big enough around here. I would love the little sheep to put in my gnomeland scenes.

    There really is nothing like a big old tree..I love old trees and this one you have is a treasure. Im sorry to read about one of your grandchildren being in the hospital. I pray everything is alright. Loved this post.

    there is nothing like a beautiful old cedar tree...to get underneath and inhale it's intoxicating earthy smell is to know you truly are in the PNW.
    Hope you granddaughter has fully recovered and back to normal. Kids shouldn't have to spend summertime in the hospital, or any other time but our summers are so very short and special! take care all of you...

    My grandparents had two cedar trees in their front yard in Junction City, but they were not spread out and huge like yours is.
