The main highway a scant 1/2 mile from our road. Just look at those snow covered hills.
I'll be making a left turn just past the telephone pole with the orange-red ribbon around it.
The left turn onto the private gravel road leading to our home .
The neighbor's horse is always curious about passers-by.
Home ! The gate posts to Cedar Pond , made and constructed for us by our grown children, welcome us home. Home. I love that word and all it implies. Home.
Don't forget to leave a comment to be included in the drawing for a flock of 3 Wee Little Sheep !
Such incredible beauty all around you. Glad you are home safe. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful view. I live in Colorado and am forever awed by the splendor of the mountains. Aren't we lucky to see this every day. Have a wonderful weekend. I am off to play today.
ReplyDeleteOn a good day we can see Mt Rainier from the Island. I shall think of you when I see it!
ReplyDeleteThere really is no feeling to compare to being home. You do indeed have an amazing view all around you! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHome really is where the heart is!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first moved to the Midwest from the Pacific Northwest, I would see thunderheads gathering on the horizon and think, for a moment, they were mountains. I will never take that view of Mt Rainier, or the Olympics for granted again!
ReplyDeleteI love your gateposts - an entry way to your property is always so welcoming. And since they were handmade by children, even better.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to call home. Many years ago we lived in Spokane and still miss our trips to Greenbluff where we picked our own fruit/vegetables. Your mountain views are gorgeous.
I love the word 'home.' I love all it entails, the smells, the trees, Mt. Rainier, most of all the people. There really is no place like it. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteoh Kathy, the only word that conjures up MORE for me than home is heaven. I have never taken for granted the amazing views out of my windows...even today, when it's dark gray clouds, pouring rain it's still beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour view is gorgeous. I too have a gorgeous view and I hope I never take it for granted either.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Daisy.

I can't imagine looking at your gorgeous view each day, the mountains and trees are incredible!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to south Texas? I love it, but it can't begin to compare with the beauty that surrounds you. God sure made some beautiful scenery.
No place like home!!!
