New Life ~ Chicks & Lambs

A new lamb, she is a lilac Jacob Sheep lamb,
a newly hatched chick  (This is a Self-Blue d'Uccle  bantam chick, I love blue chickens. ),
lambs playing leap-frog over the downed tree , tree frogs chirping down by the pond, new chicks emerging from their eggs, hummingbirds and honeybees swarming the sugar-water feeders and flowers ~ why it must indeed be spring !

  1. The little lambs are so adorable as is the sweet little blue chick.

So good to hear that spring is happening for you.

  2. And here I've said on my post that it's spring because the robins are back! I would much rather have frolicking little lambies and fluffy chicks in my yard too.
Such sweet farm critters, I enjoyed seeing them.

  3. Spring is indeed here now, flowers are blooming and bugs are coming out and other critters. Most birds stay here all year long though.

  4. You took my heart with those photos. I've always said I'd like to own a farm. Not sure if I could do the animals but still, I am envious.

  6. We have a place along our main four lane highway where a guy is raising sheep. This is the first year I can see many white lambs. I think that he has them in the new pen for us to see as I have seen sheep there for a few years but this is the first year I have seen the lambs. That blue chick is so wonderful. I wished I lived in and area with land so that i could raise chickens.

  7. Gorgeous pictures Kathy. I know they're a lot of work but oooooh and aaaah it's worth it. Is it your favourite time of the year?

  8. Just thought of lyrics from musical "State Fair" - by Nina Simone - it might as well be spring. You definitely have evidence of spring on Cedar Pond - just greened up nicely around here this week - yep - robin migration came through about 14 days ago and now the mockingbirds are frantically nesting and singing!
