Fairy and Mouse live in my wool room here at Laughing Dove Farm.
There was a small rectangular hole my husband left behind after installing the electrical workings of my new wool workshop. He was going to neatly cover it but before he could get around to finishing the wall a fairy and a mouse moved in , thus claiming their own little place in my wool shop.Actually, our daughter's oldest daughter ( far left) painted my new little wool shop residents, and I am happy to have them nearby as I weave and work with the wool of my flock of sheep. ( Picture is of our daughter and her husband's 4 children.)
Good Morning, Kathy. Your oldest granddaughter did a fabulous job and this is cute as can be! It has been a blessing to get to know your family and to watch the children grow. Love to you all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet way to take care of a hole in the wall artistically. Your granddaughter did a fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing another glimpse of your wool workshop.
Love & hugs ~ FlowerLady
Whimsical and charming "visitors" and oh my goodness those children are getting SO big - gorgeous as always but grown up looking.
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is talented, and beautiful. Oh, I would love to have a little mouse and fairy, like yours, move into my sewing room. Maybe I should cut a little hole.
ReplyDeleteHow clever! I like that little story for your better-than-a-fairy-tale cottage workshop.
ReplyDeleteYour grandchildren are getting to be so grown up and they are such beautiful young people. I am sure that every day you whisper to yourself that you did the right thing in making this move.
What a great painting. She is very talented. My granddaughter also paints and now is an art teacher for grammar school children. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteSo cute, such talent in your family for sure!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family and a beautiful way to cover a hole. I always love the whimsy. Hugs B
ReplyDeleteI think a whimsical fairy and mouse would be good company in your studio, they're painted very nicely.
ReplyDeleteYou have lovely looking grandchildren Kathy.
I hope this finds you and yours doing well. May we display your linked header on our new site directory, SiteHoundSniffs.com? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention.
ReplyDeleteIf you are concerned about me being up to no good, please do a Google search for SiteHoundSniffs (with or without the .com). The results should prove that it is meant to be a very good thing.
Specifically, what I am wanting to do is take a screenshot of your header and display it (linked back to the homepage) in place of the text-link. If you will visit SiteHoundSniffs.com, it should be easy to see how having a displayed header makes an individual site more attractive to visitors and SiteHoundSniffs look better. You do not have to do a thing but grant permission. There is absolutely no charge, nor will there ever be.
Thanks for posting a picture of these growing kiddos! Your granddaughter is already a promising artist. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThe little one's haircut is SO cute, as are all the four. Cute way to stamp a personal touch, I like it!
ReplyDeleteLove the artwork! Handsome children. Hope you have a good weekend. I waved as we drove by on 395 last Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteThe mouse and fairy are so cute. What sweet artwork to have nearby while you are working. Great family photo too.
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is very talented and such a beauty, too! Such a beautiful family! xx K
ReplyDeleteI knew someone was a wonderful artist....how special is that to have her in the family! And you have sheep and weave...wow! I have no sheep or loom, but do have a Lendrum wheel and carder. Oh happy day we bought those at the MD sheep and wool festival. We don't go anymore due to my Parkinsons. We do go to a smaller wool festival near here in Pa though. Thanks so much for visiting my blog...you helped to make my spirits bright! Happy day to you....
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute, Kathy. It's wonderful to have such talent in your family, I'm sure. I hope she continues to enjoy her artistic flare. I'l bet you are loving your little she-shed.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is quite the artist! I live the whimsy. We have a gnome door we made years ago. It's located by our front door. Jorgan and his dog Socks can be found roaming around our house. You never know where he will turn up.
ReplyDeleteLove the place!
ReplyDeleteSweet family,
d

My, how those children have grown! and I love the picture of fairy and mouse, so pretty. When I was much younger I used to love stories about mice and rabbits and that has remained with me into my old age. I do hope we see some more of your grand-daughter's story drawings?
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect spot for your loom. Lots of light there to work with.
What a lovely little painting - and the perfect spot for it. I'm such a fan of mice - they are absolutely adorable. I should try to create a similar little painting for my own crafting room - it would make me smile.
ReplyDeleteDarling and creative painting! A great-looking, talented bunch, I can tell! Blessings, Bess
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet picture!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful family :)
