Valentine's Day Project With Love

Here is a very easy project to do with children or for you to do up a little finer , and very quickly at that! This can be done almost last minute and economically too. Take a can, a nut can works fine, glue pretty wrapping paper around it, or paint the can, then decoupage a picture or Valentine on it, plop a plant, such as a primrose or African Violet into it and stick a skewer, or sharp stick through a home made heart proclaiming your love, then present this gift to Mom ( or ? ) with a hug and a kiss added to boot!Of course this can be done very, very economically but must be done with lOVE!Our granddaughters made this for their Mom, our daughter....
"And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, love does not brag, and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek it's own,..." I Corinthians 13:3-5

I love that scripture.

Love is respect. Love is genuine. A box of chocolates or a diamond pendant pales in the shadow of love.

Happy Vvalentine' Day, Kathy.

Your granddaughters did a superb job on their mom's plant holders. I love their choice of pink and purple. She will be thrilled. Hope you all enjoy the day.

Mary, that verse often convicts me, and it comforts at the same time...scripture is like that. You are so right, jewels and chocolates are nice, VERY nice tokens of love..but no substitute for it.

Amy, I must visit you too, since your blog moved to another blog provider I have not put it (yet) in my google reader...sorry, and thank-you for visiting!

Mildred, the girls had a very good time with modge-podge decoupage glue and tissue paper and I think their Mom knows they worked hard on their gifts. We had a nice quiet Valentine's Day here at home, my favorite place!

Julie,I imagine you had a very busy and wonderful Valentine's Day at your place filled with so much family!

Daisy, thank-you, and to you and yours too!

Alice, you are having so much fun with your grandchildren and I can tell there are MANY, MANY craft projects in your immediate future!

Sandra, thank-you~

LindaSue,and they did have fun too!
