Lavender & Little Girls

Does this look like a happy camper to you? Well, you're right, he is NOT happy! He is a quiet loving cat and our home has been invaded by little girls who love to cuddle cats, even cranky cats. Here Joey is resting ( hiding ) in wool I am carding for the Lavender Festival this weekend.
I don't think he is blending in too well, and the girls soon found him. He was off in a flash to nap under bushes where little girls won't look for him. There may be spiders or bugs you know and that won't do for them.
Look at my porch. It is a covered playground for little girls. Perfect for the dollhouse and the doll family, and a wonderful outdoor respite from rain and hot sunshine.
What do we have here? It isn't raining, yet all our umbrellas are open...
An outdoor "home" of umbrellas and imagination. Perfect for an outdoor picnic for 4 sisters enjoying each others' company.
This has been one of the busiest, but happiest summers for me thus far. Please visit me this weekend for A Celebration Of Lavender * if you're in the area!

  5. The lavender colored wool is so pretty, and I betcha the Lavender Festival will be fun...... wish I were there.

I had to chuckle at you kitty trying to hide from the girls. We've had our granddaughter here, and our kitty's are trying to hide too..... they can only handle so many hugs.

Sure looks like the 4 girls are having fun!

  7. When I was growing up my grandmother had the only bedroom that I knew of that was painted lavender. Everything I made in Girl Scouts was lavender from then forward, and delivered directly from lavender. I will always have fond memories of lavender.

The photo of the 4 sisters pulled at my heart. I have one wonderful sister. I cannot imagine how delightful it would be to have 3!

And, Kathy, I am so glad this is one of your happiest summers.

    Praise the Lord!

  9. Looks like you'll have a nice weekend. Like the pink and purple and like the times they've set for the festival. Nothing should open before 11am or close up at 5pm! 11 - 7pm is good!
