Thanksgiving was celebrated over the mountains and through the woods, 6 and 1/2 hours away with our oldest son and his 4 daughters, pictured above.
..as was my husband's dog Hawk. We had a wonderful time of family, food, and fellowship ~ and LOTS of snow! "As the season turns toward December , we are settling in. The woodpile high, the freezer filled, heaters ready to be lit, snow tires on - we can face the world with a smile." Gladys Taber Now, on to December and the hustle and bustle of Christmas!
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

ReplyDeleteI do have the history of my father and mothers families. It is very interesting and complete. I may share more but it is a bit daunting..the detail, that is. I continue to be amazed at my parents and what they did throughout their lives. They were strong people and they made their lives count. They were faithful and for that we are blessed!!
