My Sebastopol geese love love love their time in the small kiddie pools I have set up for them and our ducks. My husband and I have not yet had time to build a pond for them , but they are pretty happy splashing in their little pools and any water trough or dish they can fit themselves into.
My geese are a family consisting of William and Trillium the parents, and 3 goslings they hatched out and raised. My geese bring me great joy and I love to sit in the poultry yard and watch them. They love to sit by the poultry yard gate and watch me !
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

Just Hanging Out With the Chickens
I have kept chickens for almost 20 years now and have quite an accumulation ( hoard ) of old poultry stuff . The old waterers are rusting out and leak so I have re-cycled them. (Yeah...that's the word ! )
Right now the tops of the waterers are keeping the fence posts dry , but I have a better use for them later. Um, well, I keep telling my husband that anyway.
I have filled the bottoms of the waterers with plants, placed them on old benches around a comfortable Adirondack chair , along-side a table and there ya go ! I now have a lovely place to sip my morning coffee or tea while I watch my chickens. Hey....don't laugh, chickens are fun to watch !

My dogs agree, so there !
I am just hanging out with the chickens ...and the dogs. Happy moments for sure.

Smile In My Heart !
Ella & Fella, my Sebastopol geese are growing up quickly ,
and are so much fun to watch after I release them from their evening pen every morning.
Ella & Fella hang out with the frilly chickens and some ducks. If you're feeling low and need a smile in your heart, watching silly chickens, fluttering geese, and comical ducks is just the ticket ! If you don't have your own poultry then arm yourself with bread and crackers and head for the nearest duck pond . Quack- quack. ( To see more of my chickens lick here.) *
"O Lord, how many are Thy works ! In wisdom Thou hast made them all; The earth is full of Thy possessions. There is the sea , great and broad, In which are swarms without number, Animals both small and great...They all wait for Thee to give them their food in due season. Thou dost give to them, they gather it up; Thou dost open Thy hand, they are satisfied with good." Psalm 104:24-29
"He has told you ,O man ,what is good ; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God ? " Micah 6:8
