Two Turkeys In A Teacup Thursday

Two turkeys in a BIG teacup! They have grown, haven't they?
I have been running into myself coming and going lately. Busy playing with grandchildren, tending the animals, trying to garden in the mud and also getting ready for the Lavender Festival coming up soon. Very soon! I have a booth to set up there and am looking forward to enjoying the festival and maybe making a little money in sales too.( Gotta pay the hay bill) I am still making Wee Little Sheep, and many, many other things , but I do get distracted and worn out with having so much fun with the granddaughters. To see what's going on at the First Annual Lavender Festival to be held here in practically my own backyard just click onto Mountain Meadow Lavender Festival *
The turkeys are outta here!

Before long there's going to be room enough for only one of those turkeys! HA! Good luck at the festival, Kathy. I hope it goes well for you.

I'd love to go to the Lavender festival. We have one here in a nearby town but it is very small. Good luck with your booth.

I would love to go to the festival. I know what you mean about getting tired chasing grand kids. Michael and Karla are looking into daycare because they both will be working 5 days a week and that is just to much for me. Ellie is starting to crawl and I just don't have the room here for a mini daycare. one or two days a week would be ok but not 5 I am exhausted.

Mildred, the turkeys are really pretty docile compared to other turkeys I have raised, so as far as turkeys go they are sweet. The festival is 3 weekends away and maybe the weather will be nice, never know around here.

Daisy, soon even one turkey will not fit into the teacup!

Southern Comfort, this will be the first of hopefully many, many more lavender festivals in Roy and I am privileged to be able to be there!

Susie, come on over to the festival, tour our state!

Alice, I am amazed at all I was able to accomplish while raising my kids and have enough energy to do many. many things on little sleep. I find myself taking an hour nap after dinner most nights lately. Couldn't be that we are a bit older, could it?

Vickie, I have actually been thinking about a bigger cup, maybe the carnivals are selling off old teacup rides?

Dear little turkeys!
I love lavender wands. I used to make them too. Lovely in the underwear drawer.

Hi Kathy... and thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog.

It's been such fun watching your turkeys grow, ..... and oh my, how they're growing!

I have some lavender plants; I absolutely love them, but I'm really having a hard time keeping them alive...... I'm not sure if I'm watering them too much or not enough.... I wish I were there at the Lavender Festival!

Brenda Kay,this will be the first Annual Lavender Festival around here and I am hoping it is fun! Thank-you.

Star, I have never made lavender wands, I just put lavender tied with ribbon in the drawer , I really have to learn how to make the wands~

Alice Grace, they will stay white. They are also not big turkeys, they are s'posed to dress out between 12 and 18 pounds. A bit more feasible for the small land holder and for people who don't need the almost 30 pounder or more turkey we have raised in the past.

Lady Katherine, I love that! Turkish tea!!! I love your blog and tea things and it makes me happy your grandchildren and husband got a laugh out of turkeys in a teacup. Thank-you~

Dolores, it could very well be too much water for the lavender. I know lavender thrives in my dryer spots and kind of blackens and wilts where there is too much water. Those turkeys are getting a bit too big for the cup, aren't they?
