Thank you for your lovely note - it made my day. Your pond, our pond - aren't they the loveliest places? I have to remember that I can make any place the home that this one is and that it's not all about 'place'.
I wonder if that little chipmunk realises that?

The view from your front porch is so pretty, restful looking.... your little visitor is mighty cute too.
Have a good weekend!

Could be! It does look like she's looking for something. Cute pictures, Kathy.

Look at all the gorgeous fireweed!! If I was a chipmunk, I'd want a house surrounded by beautiful purple flowers too.

Maple Lane, she is sweet and I see her here & there & everywhere around the bird feeders, but especially in this front garden. Thank-you, the weekend looks to be hot and one of relaxation for us, rare.

Timi, I think she will, but most likely will build her nest in the wood shed.

Debbie, a new roof and a cat-proof home , very important to little chipmunks.

Pondside, I agree with you and remind myself I truly know I can make my place a home no matter where I live, especially if I am with my husband & family.

Dolores, my porch is my resting place and my refuge in the summer. Pitchers of iced tea, pots of hot tea, and I locker-hook my rugs, spin my wool, write letters, think, pray, observe, and sometimes nap!Watching the birds , squirrels, chipmunks, my sheep, and my ducks is the icing on the cake!

Daisy, I have watched finches, wrens, this chipmunk, and an especially lyrical song sparrow check this bird house out. I hope one of them find this bird-house suitable to set up housekeeping. It would be so much fun to watch from my porch rocker, the place I took this picture from.

Garden Of Daisies, the fireweed is loudly humming and throbbing from the honeybees drawn to it.I hope the chipmunk settles here instead of the woodshed. It would be fun to watch her throughout the year.

Hi Kathy, Dropped by to catch up on your blog as it has been a while since I have been here. I just love your tea partys. You always make them such a joy to attend. Your wedding dress is so lacey and lovely. You made such a beautiful bride. What a joy it would be to have your granddaughter wear it someday. Hugs, LJ

Amy ( goatpod) being away for 10 days sounds wonderful! Thank-you for taking time to read my blog, catching up on blogging is fun, but takes time away from the sunshiny day outside.

Lady Jane, thank-you. I have been planting mini gardens and having tea parties with the grandchildren, just not having enough time to blog about it.Thank-you for your kind words regarding my wedding dress.
