Be Thou My Vision ~ Slane

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art-
Thou my best thought by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my wisdom, and Thy my true Word, I ever with Thee and Thou with me Lord; Thou my great Father and I Thy true son, Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one.
High King of Heaven, my victory won, May I reach Heaven's joys, O bright Heaven's Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my vision O Ruler of all.
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
"Therefore we have as our ambition , whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him."
II Corinthians 5:9 * Old Irish melody. There are many more verses, some worded differently, but I love them all .

What a wonderful blessing to wake up and read the words to this beautiful song. I can remember hearing and singing it all my life......it's among one of my favorites.

The leaves are gorgeous!!! Our leaves are still green or brown from the drought.......

Thanks for making my heart sing.
Blessings,
