Tea-Party Memories

She loves her tea sweet !

This teacup is special to me. I have precious memories of a tea-party my youngest granddaughter & I had together almost 4 years ago. I can still picture her tiny hands stirring the sugar into her tea and watching her drink every drop of the sugary syrup she made only to have her teacup re-filled and carefully repeat the process. To see the original blog post click here*.

The tea-time Tuesdays have inspired me to make time for many tea-parties with my grandchildren over the years. As I was looking over some of my tea-time posts I realized we made many precious memories together and had a lot of fun creating our tea parties. Thank-you ladies who host this day every week and all of you who share your tea-cups, tea parties, and generous support of one another through blogging.

These ladies are hosting blog parties I enjoy, celebrating all things tea !

We just had an email conversation about this, but when I read your post today what came to my mind was 'redeeming the time'. Each minute, each second is spent, and is only redeemable through a memory whether pleasant or otherwise. You've always chosen to spend yours with your family wisely. The memories are pleasurable and the time 'well spent'. Your grandchildren will grow up with one of the best gifts...good memories and the wisdom of what really counts. Well done friend.

I have tea memories like yours too and only wish I'd taken more photos. However before blogging, who thought to photograph their tables and food?
Blogging has brought together women who enjoy the same thing and helped us create new friendships.

Kathy, I echo what Debbie said, "redeeming the time". Even though I'm four states away from my new grand-niece, I just sent a package containing hand made lovlies and her first Bible. I figure they can never be started too early on God's word.I plan to write to her, ink pen and nice paper, so she'll "know" me through my love of her and God.

What a lovely picture! Such joy on her face peering over the teacup! I hold teas with my neices and they see me and ask when the next one is. The one loves to do hats and all. Such precious memories we are making!

My what lovely memories you have made with your grandchildren. The photo is priceless of her sipping the tea. Hope you have many more tea parties no matter how old they become. Your cup and saucer is outstanding and I especially love the shade of pink on the rim. Have a delightful week!
