Sunday Sunshine Therapy

There were a few moments of sunshine between down-pourings of rain . I took a walk along our little road  with my pack of 4 dogs . We watched my geese and ducks swimming in sunshine reflections.
Me, my puppy ( she might be large but is still in her youth ) and our 3 old dogs who have all been with us for more than a decade, took our time. I allowed the dogs to examine every log , stick, stone and puddle. The Labs just had to take a splash and a swim in the pond. Therapy ~ that is what you should call a walk in sunshine with dogs you love & enjoy.
The very old Labrador Retriever ,Willow ( dog with collar ), is always limping and in some pain , but she is one of the happiest dogs I spend time with. She gets along with all the dogs and cats and is easy company. She was born in my kitchen many years ago, 4th and last generation of Labs born here at Cedar Pond . She has been such an easy dog to train and have around I have taken her for granted. As I watch her in her old age I am appreciating more and more what a treasure she is.

Just a simple walk with my dogs, some Sunday sunshine therapy.

Your 'pack' is wonderful. The one that really grabs my heart is the reddish one, who reminds me of our late hound, looking away from the camera.

How nice to be able to take such lovely walks, seeing your geese swimming in pond and in the company of your wonderful canine family.

Have a wonderful week ~ FlowerLady

Sounds like good therapy to me. We are having some freezing rain to go with out latest snow. Watching the birds at the feeder is my therapy this morning, that and this lovely walk with you and the pups!

I had to laugh as I imagined the time it took for each of those dogs to perform his (or her) investigation. Beau does the same thing. It's been to wet to let him spend too much time outside lately. Now it's frozen! I could use some of that therapy.

Now that is a nice walk. It is snowing here and perhaps if it isn't too windy I will take my Ragsy out later to play in the back yard. Even though he is getting old he loves to still romp in the snow. But I haven't trimmed in awhile so it means taking out the hair dryer when we get back in to get rid of the snow balls all over him. lol...

It really is therapy isn't it?.....a walk with a good old canine friend (or several!) I enjoyed your pond pictures. There's something so peaceful about geese and ducks in a pond.

Kathy,
It looks like it was truly an enchanted day! I mean what better way to spend a day than in the company of our favorite canines and ducks and geese of course! Blessings to you and yours

With 16 inches of fresh snow on the ground here, a little bit of green is a welcome sight. We are blessed with a brilliant, blue day on the heels of the storm, but the groundhog has definitely seen his shadow. Experience warns me not to begin thinking about shoots and sprigs for several weeks yet. I mustn't grumble though; it has been a reasonable winter thus far.

I remember three of those dogs when they were still young. It explains why I do a little limping from time to time as well.

This sounds like a lovely way to spend some time. Relaxing in nature and getting some exercise with the good company of faithful dogs--yes, therapy is a good word for it. I enjoyed these photos, Kathy.

A mostly happy pack. They looks so "ready" to go. That sounds like a great therapy walk...

These photos are beautiful. I'm so glad you got some sunshine. I like the ducks and the reflecting pond very much. Your dogs are beautiful animals. The Lab reminds me of my dog that I used to have.
Have a great week.

It is a fun day when the dogs all can get outside and walk. We give our older border collie a calcium tablet to relieve his stiffness of joints. We buy it at Walmart, don't remember it's name, but it is the only supplement with calcium that they sell.
