The Little family and the fairies heard me talking about the Mad Hatter's Tea Party *.
They decided to have a Mad Hatter's Tea Party of their own with the help of 2 of my granddaughters. The Littles live in my china hutch and the fairies flit and land wherever they will. They all thought a tea-party sounded like great fun, especially since they could dress up and pretend.
My granddaughters made a small tea room using cardboard , moss, and anything that struck their fancy from my crafting supplies. Granddaughters also made some costumes for the fairies and the Littles.
Alice and Little Mouse took a break during the work of creating the tea room.
My granddaughters worked long into the afternoon , having fun setting up the tea party.
We're not finished with this fun tea-party but thought we'd publish the party preparations. My granddaughters took all of the pictures except the one of the two of them working on the tea room.
Please be sure and click onto this link and enjoy many other creative Mad Hatter's Tea Parties.*

Oh how charming! I bet they had such fun setting this up!
What a great collection you have!
Such a fun tea party and the granddaughters have plied their imagination to bring it to life. I recently saw another fairy garden utilizing a cardboard box and this has got me to thinking for one of my indoor gardens.
Such fun! What a delightful idea for a tea party.
This is a wonderful post and the party looked like a lot of fun. The girls are cute.
I love the imaginations of the sweet granddaughters. It looks like they had a charming time setting it up, you do have some beautiful things for them to use. Nice to put all those tea sets into use. I have two small ones and a small lemonade set that I am saving for my grand when she's a little older. I will certainly be keeping this in mind.
How delightful to see these young girls creating and having fun using their imaginations. That is what Alice in Wonderland is all about! Kudos to you for encouraging their creative spirits. Thanks for sharing.
Sweet Tea!!! Your Grands did a wonderful job.

That looks like an enjoyable day!!
How much fun! What a great, creative, imaginative party to share with your granddaughters!
One of the things I admire most in children is their imagination. It is evident from your posts that yours have buckets full. Their tea party for small folk reminds me of "Mouses Houses" whose posts I follow assiduously after seeing it on your sidebar. My daughter bought me "The House That Mouse Built" for my birthday this year and the illustrations/photo dioramas are mesmerizing. Some folks never lose that child-like imagination.
Kathy,
So charming. I'm sure your grand daughters had so much fun and will remember this for years to come!
