In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

My Husband's Hands
~I love my husband's hands. Hands are one of the first features I notice in a person. Hands and their eyes. I appreciate good hands. Not hands that are beautiful in a worldly way, but hands that are strong and gentle. My husband has strong and manly hands. The hands of the man I fell in love with. Kind hands that cradled our babies, changed their diapers ( yes! he changed their diapers ) cooks for me for the joy of cooking, removed splinters from myself and our children with a gentleness I never possessed. He built our home, built the outbuildings, built animal pens and dovecotes just for me. His hands planted and prune our orchard and gardens. His hands tend the bees. His hands care for me when I am sick. I love the touch of his hands.
~My husband was away for the weekend and as I took Sunday to just enjoy our home, the home my husband built, I became especially grateful for the many things around our home he has made, built, and tended with his hands, and his heart. I am thankful. I love him.

Such a touching post Kathy. Your home and dovecote are just beautiful. It's nice to have a day to just enjoy and be surrounded by all the wonderful memories of what you two have created over the years.
You know, I am the same way about hands and eyes! I always notice those two features first.
How wonderful to have a husband with such capable hands. Love the dovecote and your post.
I love hands too. I've always thought my husband looked extra masculine, and he does. I always notice a man's hands and arms. It is sweet to honor your husband with this post.
What a sweet post...your hubby is very gifted in all he can do!
Oh that was so sweet. I love reading posts like this.
I love my husbands hands too. He is strong but has the gentle hands of a surgeon which makes them kind. I know exactly what you are talking about in this post.
The dovecote is beautiful! Your husband is a talented and kind man!
Wonderful post. Thank you.
