In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

I especially love the second version. Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas.
Oh, thank you, Kathy!
My husband and I were on the road yesterday in southern Ohio. It warmed my heart to see the beautiful signs in many yards depicting the real meaning of Christmas.
Lovely song, Kathy. I like them both, but I think I prefer the second one. The music of the first video is very haunting though. Wishing you a peaceful Sunday.
They are both lovely, Kathy. I couldn't presume to pick a favorite. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
Ahh my all time favorite song, in and out of season but especially now when the very season itself adds to the vision of hearts waiting for randsom.
THANK YOU SO MUCH THEY WERE BOTH BEAUTIFUL, ALTHOUGH I DO LOVE ENYA! HAVE A GREAT DAY..IT'S A BLIZZARD HERE TODAY..LOVE IT! Come say hi :D
I am savoring the two versions of Immanuel! Thanks for doing that!
Love the sister birthday celebration, too! Aren't we rich with love?
I appreciate your comments about my photos. They are so special to me....some memories are gifts that keep on giving!
I love that song and I love both of those versions. My favorite, however, is when a friend of ours stood up in church-on Christmas Eve-and sang it a cappella. I wish I had it recorded. I can still hear it in my mind though.
I adore Enya's music.
Your header photo is so cute, makes me smile every time I see it.
Merry Christmas, Kathy, to you and your be-loved ones from Thistle Cove Farm.
I like the music from the first and the visual from the second.
This is one of my favorite songs of the season.
Thank-you for your kind comments..I was thinking about what each of you said about the hymn and as I watched many times the youTube videos I realized what I like about each rendition is the difference. And they are very different, yet the same hymn.
Enya's is ethereal, and hauntingly beautiful, bringing to my mind a higher and more heavenly thought of our Savior. The 2nd video reminds me of the very earthly cost to Jesus, to redeem us...that of sin, blood, pain, death...the death of the Son of God to redeem us from this world of sin and sorrow. Immanuel is triumphant in His love for us, praise Him!
