"My life goes on in endless song
Above earth's lamentations
I hear the real, though far-off hymn
That hails a new creation."
"Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, new things have come." II Corinthians 5:17
I hear it's music ringing,
It sounds like an echo in my soul.
How can I keep from singing?"
"Is any among afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms." James 5:13
While though the tempest loudly roars,
I hear the truth, it liveth.
And though the darkness 'round me close,
Songs in the night it giveth.

"No storm can shake my inmost calm,
While to that rock I'm clinging.
Since love is lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?"
"Oh Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
"We love because He first loved us." I John 4:19
"When tyrants tremble in their fear
And hear the death knell ringing,
When friends rejoice both far and near
How can I keep from singing?",
"And men will say,"surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely there is a God who judges on earth!" Psalm 58:11 "..."He thwarts the way of the wicked." Psalm 146:9
"In prison cell and dungeon vile
Our thoughts to them are winging,
When friends by shame are undefiled
How can I keep from singing?' sung by Enya
"The Lord executes justice for the oppressed;Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoner free." Psalm 146:7
"Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway." E. Austin
Note: This song by Enya was not sung by her as a Christian hymn, but it is a song that comes to me so often when I am happy and contented for no particular reason. This song also comes to me when I am worried or distressed and I ask myself ~ "How can I keep from singing?" The truth is I cannot keep from singing and it is God who has placed His song in my heart~Praise him !
The pictures are of some of the flowers in our gardens this late in summer.

Good Morning Kathy, I really enjoyed the Bible verses, your garden photos and the song by Enya today. I can picture you in my mind surrounded by your sweet grandchildren, the cheerful garden flowers, and your beloved pets singing this joyful song. God bless you today and I hope the week ahead holds many joys.
Good Sabbath, Kathy. This is one of my favorite songs and I count it as a hymn, at least, when I sing it. Your farm is lovely and shows the loving work of people who live and visit.
God's blessings on you and yours in the day, week and years to come.
Good morning, Kathy. I belt out this song when I have a long car trip to make on my own. It's one of my favorites!
I have never heard this song before and it brought tears to my eyes. Tho not intended as a song for believers, I will also count it as a hymn.
If WE don't praise Him, the very rocks will cry out!
Blessings to you, Kathy...

Your garden is such a joy - and it is hard to keep from singing when we are where we love with those we love. Bless you this Sonday

Blessing to you.
Lovely lyrics and photos! Thank you.
you are so so right in counting your blessings. that is indeed a gorgeous song that i sing often too. you have been blessed, a hundredfold, yet you have the humility to acknowledge it is all HIS giving so your plenty will keep growing. I am hooked on your blog and your soul.
