Tiny Teacups & Turkeys In Teacups

It is Tea Time Tuesday! I get to show off a teacup or two and this week I have chosen two teacups I think are from a child's tea set. Look at how tiny they are in comparison to my thumb. If you click onto the picture you can see the delicate gold butterflies on the handles. The morning glories are very well painted and the china is translucent. There are no markings at all on the bottoms of these cups and saucers. I will be using these teacups at a tea party I am having for grandchildren and a great-niece and nephew this Wednesday. I hope to remember to take pictures to show you next Tuesday!
Do you remember my turkeys in a teacup? These little turkeys were so tiny two of them fit in one of my favorite teacups.
Soon, the teacup was a tight fit...
...then only one turkey would fit, and not very well.
The turkey just looks at the teacup as if to say "Lady, you're nuts if you think I am going to fit in that cup!"
So I got a bigger teacup!
See, two turkeys fit into this teacup, but they are a little cramped.
Today I offered the turkeys the chance to sit in the teacup again.
I don't think it's going to happen, do you?
Pour yourself a cup of tea and visit these ladies to see many other teacups and tea times; Martha*,Terri *,Lady Katherine *,and Wanda Lee*. Remember, you are blessed!

Oh, our turkeys are so cute in those cups. Sounds like you have some Tasha Tudor like skills on that farm. I love that! I grew up on a 300 acre farm. Grandfather had milk cows, Great-grandfather had chickens, and every year there were traditions that were done with the seasons. My children will never know any of that. A farm was a special place to live. Thanks for your visit.

how hilarious. you are so funny. i couldnt participate this week in spite of looking high and low at the flea markets for another teacup to buy for the occasion. you see, i am still away from home, in a faraway place called Chile, taking care of my mother's estate so have to play with whatever is at hand. hope to participate again next week. what a joy to stop by Cedar Pond. Hugs to the BeeKeeper again.

Dear Kathy,
I sure enjoy dropping by your place on Tuesdays to see the sweet teacups and saucers you share.

These turkeys made me chuckle. They are cuties when so small and so tasty at Thanksgiving time.

Have said a prayer for you and your girls.
May you have a sweet life and God Bless,
d

Those little munchkins grew!

I started collecting china, not so much tea sets, years ago. It is good to see you using yours. Mine never come out of the cabinet. I do look at them now and then. :)

LOL! This is a wonderful post. Those turkeys are very comical and to match them up with a tea cup is just too funny.

The teacups with the butterfly handles are really quite pretty. I wonder if they are actually demi-tasse cups? Certainly, not even a wee little turkey would fit in one of those! :)

What a hoot - or, should I say, 'what a gobble'. Very funny post - but I do love the cups!
