The granddaughters, um, excuse me, the FAIRIES, loved these mini-pizzas granddaughter made, there were no left-overs.
Granddaughter also made a snack mix consisting of popcorn, pretzels, popcorn flavored jelly-beans, raisins, and chocolate chips.Another success, no left-overs.
She chose my butterfly teacups by Yedi for the tea. This set of butterfly teacups is a favorite with my grandchildren.
Granddaughter set the table herself, making sure the goblets for the orange juice punch are clean and clear.
The table is set, the food prepared. The cousins are here. I took a few pictures, but this party was prepared and hosted by our oldest granddaughter. After I took some pictures I went upstairs to get some work done and left the 6 granddaughters to tea-party on. ( I forgot to mention, she cut and arranged the flowers on the table too.)
It was a joy to my heart to hear the laughter of little girls echoing throughout the house. When I came downstairs to re-fill my tea cup I also spied the girls dancing sweet fairy dances as they laughed and talked amongst themselves.I think they had a very good time together and this was a good way to end the summer before the 4 granddaughters from the other side of the mountains returned home to begin school.
Yedi butterfly teacups. You might have noticed I have used these tea cups a lot in my Tea Time Tuesday posts, but they are my grandchildren's favorite choice for their tea parties. They are so colorful, and the set has 6 different colors, perfect for boys and girls. They are especially nice in garden tea parties. These are easy to find on-line by googling the brand name.
These ladies are having an on-line party for all things tea, check them out!

Your oldest granddaughter hosted a very nice fairy tea party! The pizza and snack mix are a great idea and the flowers on the table are just right! All your granddaughters look especially radiant and I know their chatter and giggles were music to your ears. Thank you for sharing these lovely young ladies with us.
How sweet! What a perfect setting for her fairy tea party! And of course, who would have butterfly tea cups but fairies!
Lovely and sweet.
Hugs,
Terri
How adorable and how clever for oldest to have done the work by herself, Kathy. She's getting good training as well as learning how to serve the King by serving others.
How nice! Your granddaughter did a wonderful job. We had mini pizzas last night but on sandwich thins and they were veggie pizzas since we don't eat much meat anymore, the only meat we have here is usually vegetarian.

It's a shame that most little girls that age these days are not encouraged to use their imagination and just to 'play'. In my Wed babysitting experience, I can't help but notice how toymakers embed so much worldly language and inapropriate music into kids toys. Rock music in games and videos. Children aren't encouraged to grow up to be anything useful. They already understand 'cool'. How wonderful for you to supply an environment where they are free to be themselves and to enjoy it. I think parents have been sold a bill of goods, and push their kids to grow up fast, do everything fast. We see the results of that each day on the street! When we were young, we could be asked what we'd like to be and we'd say "nurse, doctor, vet, mommy". Most children can't even answer that nowadays because they can't imagine growing up and working!
Pardon my rant!

I always think "Kathy and Jim's grandchildren are the most creative" - and then you prove it again. Adorable, charming, delightful - all positive words of praise for the fairies.
What fun the little fairies had at tea. Love the tea cups ... so pretty and perfect for fairies! Happy Tea Day!
Kathy, that is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I'm sure there was lots of buzzing and flitting about and to-and-fro-ing going on down there whilst this party was happening! And of course, we MUST have butterfly teacups! Oh what memories they are making!
Kathy, the Fairy Tea Party is adorable and what an inspiration your granddaughter is! She and I would get along famously! Love the butterfly teacups and the mini pizzas look delicious! What a joy to have the laughter of children in your home! Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Blessings,
Sandi

What a lovely party! She took care of every detail. I'm sure the girls all had a great time. I love those cups too. I can understand why they chose them. :)
Your granddaughter is so smart to do all that by herself! She did a wonderful job making everything from the dresses to the food! What fun to have so many little blessings!
So sweet...and your grand is definitely the hostess with the mostest!
Oh Kathy...your granddaughter is so talented...and beautiful too. I'm always amazed at the good and creative memories your grandchildren are making at your fun loving home..
Makes me smile, just thinking about their times together in your home....so many blessings!
Kathy, first your teacups are lovely and I now have a new favorite drool teacup that i'd love to pick up if i chance upon one.
Second, your granddaughter is so clever and artsy, did she go on her grandmother? :) I cannot believe she created the dresses and decided the menu along with setting the table et al. She is going to grow up as a fine lady. God bless you little one, if you're reading this. Keep creating for creation, whatever, however it maybe, is in itself an achievement.
You pretty much said what i could not effectively communicate. +1

Precious pictures, Kathy~ and those mini-pizzas are wonderful!
Your granddaughters are delightful! I enjoyed the tea party!! Your granddaughter is very talented with making all the wonderful things and is learning a lot from you. I am a grandmother of 6 also. 3 boys and 3 girls. Only 2 girls live near me (the youngest ones) and I miss the others so much. My oldest granddaughter just had a baby girl; so I am also a great grandmother. I have to pinch myself every time I say that. It's so hard to believe. Your blog is awesome and I will visit again. Thank you for visiting my blog Down Memory La La Lane... I hope you will come back.

Oh my gosh you are the best Grandmother ever. I so would have loved to be there watching these smiling faces drinking tea out of those wonderful china mugs with the amazing costumes. Incredible. B
