This is a well-traveled and used area of our property. The lattice hides the wood shed where we also keep our garbage cans. This area is in full view of our front porch too, so it is nice for it to be somewhat visually appealing.
The mirror was a Goodwill find for under $5.00 and has endured quite a few winters here. The ceramic planters are re-planted every spring. The bird-bath is new. We have 3 bird-feeders hung in the trees surrounding the wood shed.
Every morning and in the early evenings we sit on the porch and watch the birds fly in for sunflower seeds. We see chickadees, nuthatches, Oregon Juncos, Stellar Jays, Grosbeaks, finches, Goldfinches, sparrows, Towhees, Cedar Waxwings ~ to name a few. We also watch hummingbirds flit around the Bleeding Hearts and Ajuga that grow lush around the porch and squirrels doing acrobatic tricks to get as many seeds from the "squirrel-proof" feeders as they can carry away in their pouches.
There is no end to the entertainment at the feeders and in the garden, especially now that the weather has warmed. Thank-you Lord for your glorious creation ! ~"For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions, or rulers or authorities- all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16,16
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

What a lovely view!!! You have a beautiful garden!
It can be so wonderful to watch the birds!!!
What a great idea for a mirror! The blossom reflecting back is wonderful. Chel
The view is amazing and I'm impressed by the different kind of birds you can see in your garden!
You have the luxury of country living that I love. Being in town has it's limitations in the way of pretty scenes, so I have to get creative. Hubby is tearing off the front porch this Spring to rebuild. I look forward to getting that done. I am thankful for the birds and animals that provide such great entertainment. It's just warming up here.

Oh love the blue bird bath (not a bath just for bluebirds but you knew that! hehehe)
Your heart for beauty shows in each area of your life -and blesses your family. Of course your DH adds the can-do to all your ideas so you two are a good combination. I like the mirror idea - wondering if it would survive our Texas hail storms hmmmm
Very nice!
Amy
It's nice to see what you see.
Thanks for sharing ...
this is a lovely post!
How wonderful! Spring!
Here in Mpls, we'll finally have a warm weekend. I cannot WAIT until the trees begin to bud...

I love that look Kathy. I love the blue. There are about seven blue pots on my own patio. They sure make the garden cheerful, don't they? And the mirror is spectacular. So nice to have the reflected view to look at. :)
Kathy, love the use of the mirror and how you've taken a so-so area and made it lovely. The bird bring a lot of joy, to be sure.
You've made such a pretty place out of what could be an eyesore - and that's inspiring. I love your use of blue. I imagine it must be delightful to sit and watch the birds. Don't you just love to be 'buzzed' by a hummingbird?
That is a lovely view indeed and definitely one to be grateful for. I like the idea of having a mirror outside, and that is such a pretty shade of blue too! I hope you have a nice weekend, Kathy.
Wow, you've done your magic with decorating this area of your yard. I love the blues and the mirror is a fantastic idea. Very pretty bird bath too!!!
