Right now the tops of the waterers are keeping the fence posts dry , but I have a better use for them later. Um, well, I keep telling my husband that anyway.
I have filled the bottoms of the waterers with plants, placed them on old benches around a comfortable Adirondack chair , along-side a table and there ya go ! I now have a lovely place to sip my morning coffee or tea while I watch my chickens. Hey....don't laugh, chickens are fun to watch !
My dogs agree, so there !
I am just hanging out with the chickens ...and the dogs. Happy moments for sure.

What a great way to enjoy your cup of coffee!
I love the "recycled" planters. Your dogs are all adorable.
Have a nice weekend.
Looks like fun to me and an exemplary effort at recycling. I can see you're making the most of your summer.
This post makes me smile! It warms my heart.

Looks like a lovely spot to watch them from, and your dogs will be good company while you do it! :-) Your dogs are all beautiful animals.
I'm not laughing - we just got chickens for the first time and one of my favorite things to do is sit and watch them. In fact, I just told my husband this week that we need a pair of adirondack chairs by the chicken run. :-D Have a lovely day!
As a chicken farmer, I love your decorations. :) And I believe all chickens would, too! :)
You're in good company there in your Adirondack chair! We don't have any chickens right now, while we have Pondside on the market, but I certainly have a collection of old Poultry feeders. I really like your idea and may use it around the chicken coop, which is looking like a sad and lonely place.
and what a nice place you have to hang out with the chicks! grins.
Blessings,

That's a lovely post Kathy. I kept chickens for ten years until their house disintegrated and the last one died. Very sad to see them go and I would love to get some more. I would also like a dog but must be content with a cat just now (sigh). Love to enjoy yours though. Please keep posting.
Well if the dog is happy and the coffee is good, then who can argue!
