Rhododendron Explosion ! ( from the front porch )

Morning coffee on the front porch in the spring is truly a rhododendron explosion !
There are no other words for me to express the sight that fills my eyes and overcomes me with awe as I behold the glorious blossoms of the bushes that surround our front porch ...rhododendron explosion !

Thus far the month of May has been an unexpected cornucopia of blessings and celebrations for our family. My husband & I have attended a memorial service of someone who matters, a wedding of one of our sons ( very happy about this ! ) ,worrying about very ill family members and trying to help out, plus attempting to keep up with the practical every day matters . Our garden is one of those everyday practical matters . Weeding , planting, watering .....but still my husband & I take time to sit on our front porch and watch the birds at our well-stocked feeders and remember to take in the beauty of the rhododendron blossoms as we simply enjoy each other's company. God is so good to us. Praise Him !

Oh I can imagine the smell of your rhododendron blossoms I have no idea if they have a smell I am not a skilled flower gardener. To be able to sit on your porch with the one you love and enjoy each others comapany through the good as well as the bad is certainly a wonderful thing. Hug B

Every year I say 'isn't this a good year for the rhodos!' and I'm saying it again this year. Your porch looks like a wonderful place to sit and contemplate the beautiful 'explosion'!

Your garden looks truly beautiful Kathy. I love the rhododendron bushes. It must be hard to settle on your porch with a book when you have such splendour to behold!
Congratulations with your son's wedding. Shall we be seeing some pictures of it?

Hi Kathy - sighing with lots of "ooooo's" and "ahhhhh's" at your lovely rhodo's and the landscapes at Cedar Pond. Ed and I are still many years away from the idea of retiring and hope the Lord returns before then. Enjoyed all your recent posts - such heaven on earth you are surrounded with in your country living - a dream of ours, too. Love all the bird drama and blossoms!
Joy!
Kathy
