Whimsy in Autumn

We love the fall ! Whimsy and I appreciate a good walk through the autumn leaves. This is my favorite time of the year. Apparently the dictionary defines autumn not only as the season between summer and winter, but also as my season in life . Autumn:"time of maturity or decline  ...autumnal : past middle life"*. Hopefully the "decline" part isn't too bad yet because I still don't even feel like I am past middle age. ( after all , it's perfectly reasonable to expect to live to be 120 years old, isn't it ? )

Kathy,
Father God did say mans years would be 120 in the old testament, soooo, I guess it really is possible isn't it? I thinks it's funny that you said that about living to be a 120 yrs. old since I'm always telling my husband who's 69 that he still has a long time before he reaches 120 yrs. old ;-)
Blessings to you and yours,
Teresa,
sugar, spice and whatever's nice

Cute photo of Whimsy. I'm in the Autumn of my years, too! So far, so good!

Autumn is definitely my favourite time of year, and now that I am in the autumn of my life it has also become my favourite time. I take time now to savour life and all it's goodness, not a silly school girl, young mom, or daughter anymore. this is our time.

Lovely pictures all Kathy. I had a dog who looked similar once and loved him very much. Your grandchild is beautiful 😊

Whimsey is such a beautiful pet. I rarely see purebred German Shepherds anymore. Too much backyard breeding with poor stock.
I loved seeing the picture of you with your new grandson. What a blessing well worth waiting for!

Your dog looks so sweet. I actually like being in the autumn of life, even though it still feels more like summer! Hopefully winter's a long ways off.
In weather terms though, we have already had some snow!
Have a wonderful weekend Kathy.

"I'm ready to go but I'm not homesick", as Daddy says and if I'm healthy, I see no reason to stop breathing. Whimsy is a lovely companion and a good deterrent.
Kathy, we're having a heat wave, it's around freezing and that's up from 10 or 11 this morning. Next week the temps are supposed to stay in the single digits.
The only thing I mind about being off-line for so long is the extreme isolation. E-mail and blogging are my touch stone to the outside world; I haven't television and only listen to preaching on XM radio. It's more than a trifle lonely without I-net.
Congratulations on the beautiful grandson; you are blessed, greatly blessed, Kathy.
