A Walk In The Woods With Whimsy

I took a walk in our woods with my dog Whimsy .
I have a pack for her to wear and she carries our water bottles. For this hike I also tucked 2 bags of cut up pumpkins and squashes from our garden into the pack. I scatter the cut up fall produce for the wild turkeys and deer that live in our woods, they LOVE squash and pumpkin.

Isn't it beautiful in the woods in the fall ?
This is the view of the back of our home from our woods. Just look at the fall splendor in front of our home. 2 weeks ago there was snow covering those hills .
Whimsy with her now empty pack. She always enjoys our walks and I love having her along.

Pretty, pretty pictures! I do like fall...it's the next phase I don't like. ha, ha. We haven't had any snow yet which is really bizarre for us, but I'm not complaining. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos!

Your waling companion, Whimsy, is certainly a helpful one too, Kathy. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views as well. We were hoping to get out for some walks this week, but the next few days will be rainy and the park will be very soggy but hopefully by the weekend we can get there.

Ahhh, gorgeous!! Whimsy is a lucky baby, no doubt!! I didn’t know the critters like squash and pumpkin, I might have one or two for them, but I have to put them FAR away from the house as the bears will be around!

What a great idea to let the dog carry her own water bottle. Your environment is beautiful Kathy. I’m sure all your animals and family love it there.

I enjoy your blog and your beautiful dog. The blog is very interesting.

I am in the country all around me from the Senior apt I live with hubby.
Unfortunalley I have allergies and am allergic to black flies and bugs of sorts. So I wear when walking my belt with a clip that helps bugs flee from me
Non toxin. Dr recommended for me. I have nasal trip. Drs thought after living here over 7 years or more. My amune system would give me no signs later. Do you have blackflies. We have deer so they carry ticks.

I do enjoy the country living though.
