What's Better Than A Turkey In A Teacup?

What's better than a turkey in a teacup?
Two turkeys in a teacup!
These little cuties are called "poults", that is what a baby turkey is called. They are Midget White Turkeys. They will not be as big as the turkeys we have raised in the past, but more about them in a later post. For now I am enjoying participating in Teacup Tuesday hosted by Martha* . Check out her blog and all the favorite teacups! This is one of my favorite teacups and saucers. Of course I washed out the teacup after the turkeys perched in it. Turkeys can really leave a mess behind after they have had tea with you, but how often can a lady say she has had turkeys to tea and two of them fit into her teacup?

Do you take your turkey tea with sugar??? Cute, cute pictures Kathy. I'll visit the link and see the other tea cups.

Very funny Mildred! No, no sugar is needed with such sweet little poults!I am wondering if the little turkeys would like tea, hmmm...

Very sweet little birds. I believe you're the first person I've known who had tea with turkeys. HA! :D

Nice teacups and those babies are adorable!

That's a pretty teacup and what's cuter than a baby animal?

Are these poults hatched by the intrepid girls of Vicktory Farm? adorable and smaller turkeys are not a bad thing - tea cup turkeys - hmm not so useful but might be a tasty substitute for cornish hens!

LOL, and I wouldn't want baby ducks in our teacups though but those are cute poults!

This is a first! We have never had a participant have Turkey for tea!
How adorable.
Your tea cup is indeed lovely. It looks quite old. Do you know who made it?
Thank you for sharing.

Daisy , as I was posting this pictures I was thinking, " Daisy would come up with a poem about turkeys in teacups"!

Susie,I think these are about the cutest and most friendly poults I have ever had.And the only turkeys I have ever put in a teacup~

Beth, thank=you, and you're right, baby animals are mostly cute. These babies are soft and fluffy too!

Linda Sue, no, they weren't hatched by the girls at Vicktory Farm, but were in an order of turkeys the Vicks placed and allowed me to go in on..nice , because to order turkeys in the mail you usually have to buy at least 15. and I did not want 15/

Amy, how are your baby ducks, and no, I would not want ducks in my teacups!

Julie, yes. They are supposed to be a bit bigger than a chicken, hopefully to fit a market for freshly raised turkeys that the average family can manage on smaller properties, etc,

JC, thanks! The turkeys liked my tea cup too!

Shannon, they have a very interesting history and are a relatively new variety.

my letters to emily, isn't it amazing what we can learn and see on blogs?

I'm a city girl, I can't tell the difference in a chicken and a turkey, but they sure are cute; especially in your pretty tea cup.

Msartist, thank-you for dropping by to view my teacup, turkeys and all!

Mary, peppermint!

Debbie, thank-you. I won't be seeing this much more either, turkeys grow fast!

Deanna, thank-you. Baby turkeys are very personable and turkeys are much smarter than most people realize.

Dolores, thank-you!

bunny, I raise turkeys of and on. My friends helped me get my Midget Whites and I am excited all over again about having turkeys.

Kimberly, thank-you. It was fun to watch the turkeys scramble around and explore teacups and everything around them.

Nancy, they look so much like chicks their first few days , don't they?

Vickie, thank-you. Turkeys to tea, has a ring to it, doesn't it?

fitty's pinky rose cottage,thank-you. It is amazing what a little turkey can get up to, isn't it?

The chicks look so sweet in your teacup. The teacup too is beautiful. something about blue and white.

Your porch looks inviting, a quirt respite for conversation, reading, prayer.

I understand your sentiments about Mother's Day. I find it a comfort knowing all things are in God's hands.

Hope to see you at another Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday. Thank you for stopping by.
Blessings,Pam

Paper Butterfly, thank-you for dropping by for Teacup Tuesday, and I think I will do more because this is so much fun!And yes, the porch is a nice place for morning coffee and afternoon tea.The cats think it is their place especially~

Mrs. Mike, blue & white, yes! That is much of the appeal, fresh and clean...leaves my mind invigorated, as does the tea!

I had really convinced myself that was NOT your favorite tea cup, but then you said it was. I looked back and forth several times, just because the tea cup was sitting at a different spot.

The turkeys are cute, I know we will be seeing them as they grow.
