In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

An empty nest is what I have too:) Hug B
That little mama worked hard. It's beautiful. I'm happy I found a hawk feather yesterday. Gifts from above. :)
What a sweet nest! So much work and love put into it.
Have a lovely week dear Kathy ~ FlowerLady
It's amazing to think about how long it took to build that nest and how well it has held up.
They are so wonderfully made. I always wonder how many hours or days that it takes to bet it to be so perfect.
It's really amazing how these nests are made and so sturdy, too. I'm glad the babies were already moved out.
I hope the parents are out enjoying their freedom and not all depressed because the kids flew the nest!

Often the phrase 'empty nest' feels like a negative, but I like the way you put it, that is a nest that has fulfilled a need ... fulfilled its destiny. And so it's okay to be empty.
Thanks for your thought on that... and the lovely photo.

A need fulfilled. Thank you heavenly Father!
A well made nest and a keeper for you to display somewhere.
A very nicely built nest. My nest was empty but one of my little birds flew back home with her hubby for a little while...
A mix of emotions connected with an empty nest . . .
