In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

What a beautiful view! Looks like those two had a great time on the tractor. The horses are lovely to watch - my grandpa used to love to sit and watch the horses. Hope you have a nice day Kathy.
While the backdrop of scenery is certainly arresting, it is father and son sitting side by side that that makes this picture perfect. I love the way you captured this memory. As always I so enjoy your visits and sweet comments. I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!
Hi, Kathy - enjoyed your visit! What a great photo of your son and grandson - I have plans to have a couple of horses when we get permanently moved out the farm. I absolutely love them, they are such beautiful and graceful animals. I love to see them running because even the ugliest old nag looks like Pegasus when they run!
Good luck with your garden - glad the rain is letting up. Your beans will be up in no time!
I bet the west side kids really had a good time with Uncle Daniel, Aunty Breezy and Uncle David.
The tractor ride with Uncle Daniel sure has put a big fat smile on CT's face! Even country kids like ridin' tractor. My girls would light up with delight every time Dirt cranked up the tractor even if they had ridden it the entire day before.
And I bet the east side girls were excited to see you, Aunty A. Joy, and all the little west side cuzes. Something like a sweet collision.
It's very beautiful there! What a gorgeous view you have!
Your wonderful post brought back childhood memories of summer visits to my grandparents' home. What joy those visit were - all the ice cream and watermelon I wanted, riding the tractor and horses, and long, hot barefooted walks (how did I do that) down the hardened clay dirt country lanes in Texas.
The scenery looks so breathtaking and peaceful! Love those horses! And your grandson is a cutie!
Looks like you had a wonderful time. I have to agree family is a great gift. I would love to sit on the porch and watch the horses
Mildred, thank-you. The horses would come right up to the porch and inspect things too.
Miss Sandy, I love the back drop, which is the view from our sons' porch. It is actually our youngest son and his nephew, our oldest grandson, who is our daughters' son!
Sand Flat Farm, your farm is going to be wonderful! It does seem ideal for horses, and you're right, even the ugliest nag is lovely running!
Lanny, going to Uncle Daniel's and Aunt Breezy's is always fun for the kids, but this time it was the best! The cousins had so much fun together.
Nancy, it is always more pleasant to have a good view thrown in to a trip, isn't it?
English Cottage in Georgia, I too remember going barefoot in Louisiana and Hawaii as a young girl, on rocks and rough terrain. I am afraid my feet still reflect their hard, but joyously free youth. Hot summers as a child were a lot of fun, I think tractor rides add even more.
Shellmo, thank-you! We think CT is pretty cute, but we don't tell him anymore, it embarrasses him.
Wobegone Cottage, you know they would love to have you and their Uncle over anytime, and you too can watch horses from the porch!
Family is a wonderful gift indeed. I'm so glad you got the opportunity to have such a nice visit with yours, Kathy.
What a great time y'all had! I love seeing the family photos, seeing all the fun and happy faces. A strong family is one of our gifts to God...and His to us.
All kids love tractors!
