Star Trek....I Love It!

"Space, the final frontier......."
Now I am not going to make it a habit of critiquing movies, this is just my thing, yes, Star Trek...I am NOT a Trekkie...although I have often thought it just might be fun to see what goes on at those events... ~What can I say? If I had been a boy in the 60's and 70's I would have been a nerd, or a geek. I loved Star trek! I still love Star Trek! I also loved The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings. I watch the re-runs of Star Trek, enjoyed the spin-offs of the original series. I have no problem laughing with the ridiculous aspects of Star Trek, but still, give me MORE! There is something about the optimism and fearlessness of the outlook on life and hope Star Trek idealizes that I find energizing and comforting, even though I do not embrace the humanistic outlook of the whole genre. I believe that optimism and hope really lies in the one and true Hope, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. ~Hubby and I went to see the new movie tonight. We LOVED it! Go see it! It is everything and more the whole Star Trek series and movies were about. It is better than 'THE WRATH OF KHAN', which was up until now the best of the Star Trek movies! Go see it if Sci- Fi and just plain good entertainment is something you enjoy!

Kathy, I have heard several others talk about what a good movie this is. I am not a huge Star Trek fan, although I did watch the show always as a kid. Based on your recommendation, I may have to go and check it out for myself. :)

Glad you got to see it and enjoyed it.

We missed you yesterday.

My dad was a Star Trek fan, but I don't remember it, so we might go see it.

Mildred, thanks.

Daisy, Noble Pig, Star Trek is pure get-away from it all fantasy...sometimes I like that.I hope you do find it enjoyable.

Wobegon, that must be you Paul! Terminator , huh? Is that coming out soon? Will the Governator be in it?

Anna, just don't get any ideas about driving old cars through corn fields...or sheep pastures!

Well, well. I have been helping my husband with his blog , but blogger won't let us have 2 separate identities with the same e-mail address...so when my husband signed in, blogger gave my identity to him! Now we are 1 in marriage, but I don't think my husband wants to be blamed for writing the things I write...sorry. J.B. ( above ) is me, KathyB.

Hi Kathy - I'm still doctoring my chigger bites! I've got Caladryl, Campho, Afterbite & Neosporin. I'm thinking of trying an Aveeno bath or Epsom salts.

I've never been a Trek fan, but we do like The Lord of the Rings movies. It's nice just to escape sometimes! We may have to go check this new Trek movie out cuz you said it was so good!

Old Centennial Farmhouse, You can get a lot done while the guys enjoy themselves at the movie! Will you be posting pictures of your dust ruffle?

Mary, we have talked to quite a few others who have seen the movie, some of them REAL movie critics, and they say it is great too!

Shellmo, yes! Drag the hubby to the movie, have him take you out to dinner first, like I did!

Sand Flat Farms, those chigger bites can be nasty, I have had them myself. An exciting movie might make you forget your itching for awhile!
