He has restored my joy, praise Him, praise Him!
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

Renewed Joy
You know how you feel when you have the dread of bad news hanging over you? Maybe you're waiting for a doctor's call, or the sight of the mailbox reminds you of the bills you cannot pay, or legal proceedings loom like doom and gloom, or anything darkening the periphery of our lives? Feelings we all have had at least a time or two or more. These feelings shadow everything in our lives and drain the joy out of every day pleasures. Why bother pulling weeds out of the gardens once loved, or baking something special...or indulging in a good book and taking time to enjoy the blessings we DO have right here and now? That is how I have been feeling for awhile and God has been merciful in lifting the burden of my deepest concerns and I am reminded He has NEVER failed me, or my family even if He has not answered our prayers and cries the way we would wish. "I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke and the Lord sustained me." Psalm 3:4-5
Our son is on his way home with the daughters he told me he would fight for and protect and he knows God has graciously answered the cries and anguish of his heart and soul. Thank-you all so very much for your prayers and encouragement. To see a little perspective from a dear friend who was in the court room with David check out GOOSESHOOTER.blog. Thank-you Gooseshooter and son!

My heart "sings" for you and your family and I have said many prayers of thanksgiving for a judge who took the time to make a careful and just decision. I just read Gooseshooter's post. God has certainly blessed you all with dear friends. I know we all pray that the transition from the summer goes smoothly for the girls. I look forward to reading about their school year and updates on bee keeping and horse riding!
Yes, I recognize that black-cloud feeling. But your little ones will bring sunshine, and you can rest easier knowing they are safe at home. I am headed to gooseshooter now, as I am curious about this entire thing. C.
Kathy, when faced with the dark cloud hanging over, it seems I struggle with allowing the faith to not let the darkness completely cover me. I begin to lose sleep, then I begin to lose focus, and it becomes a life-draining type of thing. As the dark clouds lift we realize how heavy it really was.
Healing is in line for those girls, but also for you, and I would imagine their father and all of the loved ones.
Praise the Lord!
I am going to look up Goosehunter now!
Read Gooshooter's blog yesterday - very descriptive and another testimony of the bond which is born of shared love, fun, pain and prayer. Thrilled the girls are headed home - we are having a spell of that dark cloud right now and I'm struggling to hold on to the sure and certain knowledge - Our Father IS in heaven and has a plan for us. Your blogging of this experience has helped - truly thank you Kathy and Jim!
What a relief to hear they are on their way HOME at last! :D Thank you God!
I am so excited for you. Thank you dear God.
What wonderful news Kathy! I bet we all have had those black clouds hanging over our heads. God always has a plan and his timing is always perfect.
PRAISE THE LORD! I know the angels in heaven are singing and I know you all are singing in your hearts as you give thanks for this answer to prayer. I am thankful, too, for those little precious girls to be with their daddy and the family that loves them so much. Thank you, too, for sharing your story with us so that we may all bind ourselves together in prayer and trust in God's providence and His love!
You are so right about that looming feeling...and it reminds me of Sunday's sermon. The scripture was taken from Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in the Lord....
You have done that and the reward is yours. God Bless you and your family as you welcome the little ones home!!
Dear Kathy~~
Oh YES!! What great news to hear about David and his little girls!!
I agree, there are some little rays of sunshine peeking through the black clouds..
There are so many uncertainties right now but the one thing I know for sure is God is in Control.
Hugs,
Lynn♥
God is good, yes He is! I am so happy for you and your son! I think we all get discouraged and sometimes just want to quit and give up....but just remember, God is working us just like refined gold...it has to be worked and fired until it is at it's purest! God is getting you ready to shine your brightest! Hang in there! blessings,Kathleen
Thank you so much for sharing this today, Kathy... I needed it. Right now I too have a cloud overshadowing my daily activities, and I'm praying for God's intervention. I know it will be in his time, so I will wait patiently and rejoice with ones like you who have already seen your prayers answered!!
God is so good!!
We are so glad for you all. It is so nice to see everyone come together in the Lord during this crisis. All things work together for good to them who love God and are called according to his purpose. We will continue to pray for the girls and David and healing.
You're so right, Kathy. Today is all we have and not even that if we stop breathing.
So glad everyone made the trip home safely!
Praise God! I am so very happy for you and your family. I rejoice that the Lord heard the prayers of many on behalf of the precious children and your son. May God continue to guard and bless and protect them..May He bless you and yours in a mighty way!
Blessings,
Vikki
Thank-you all so much, many of you have been on my mind and in my prayers as I offer thanks and praise to God for His mercy and benevolence.
I believe David , Breezy and our granddaughters should be pulling into their driveway in Eastern Washington anytime now, and the 3 older girls will start school Wednesday...and back to a healthy and calm routine . Breezy will have the youngest granddaughter to keep her company throughout the day as their father goes to work in the job God has provided in this time of job scarcity.
Bless you, and again, thank-you. Kathy
Oh Kathy, I am very happy to hear the news. Your grandbabies have come home finally. You are right about them needing time to heal. This must have been a confusing and traumatic summer for them. But with the family and friends you have so eloquently described in your previous post, they will surely heal and know that they are safe to be children again without the burden of all the grown-up issues that have thus far affected their innocent lives. They are blessed to have all of you.
After so much anxiety and uncertainty for you and your family I am so happy to hear things are looking up and they will be home soon!
I'm so happy for you and for your family, Kathy. To have that burden lifted is indeed a joy. Praise God!
