Joy In The Journey

"There is a joy in the journey
There's a light we can love on the way
There is a wonder and wildness to life
And freedom for those who obey. And all those who seek it shall find it A pardon for all who believe, Hope for the hopeless and sight for the blind. To all who've been born of the Spirit And who share incarnation with Him Who belong to eternity stranded in time And weary of struggling with sin. Forget not the hope that's before you, And never stop counting the cost. Remember the hopelessness when you were lost~ There is a joy in the journey There's a light we can love on the way. There is a wonder and wildness to life And freedom for those who obey". written and sung by Michael Card
"Consider it all joy,my brethren when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, and let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be found perfect and complete, lacking in nothing, but if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him..." James 1:2-5

What edifying and encouraging words. Thank you for posting that. I so seldom listen to the WORDS of songs; they're just playing in my background. I really like this one.
THanks for commenting on my blog. It's funny how much we think alike; that story of the emporer was foremost on my mind when this guy was running for president. Many people I mentioned it to had never heard the story! It's so fitting.....

Kathy, your pictures should be in a child's storybook, they're so enchanting and beautiful!

I'm like Debbie, so often I don't listen to the actual words in a song. I'm so glad you shared these words of encouragement with us.

Your pictures, posts, and comments always bless me...
Hugs and blessings,

Wonderful reminder that it's about the journey and the destination! We're going through a rough patch and this post helps me focus on remembering what's important.
Also, the joy of the Lord is my salvation. Amen!
