Rain!

It has been raining off and on for two days now and this makes me so happy! Rainy days invigorate me, energize me , and inspire creativity! I also love to fall asleep and awake to the sound of rainfall outside my window.

Good Morning Kathy, We had a couple of rain days this week too. I love to sit on the porch and watch/listen rain. The air is cool, clean and everything seems so green. Like you, it makes me have more energy. Also, a friend had shared some celosia plants with me and the rain really perked them up. Enjoy your day.

Mildred, thank-you. I notice that when I am outside near our pond and the rain comes softly as I sit under the big umbrella, my thoughts and prayers are for you, Nalley, and your sister Karen.I pray you and Nalley are well and for God to be your comfort, as you continue on encouraging so many.

We had a lot of rain last week - this week has probably been the sunniest, but a little muggy. I just love that birdbath of yours!!

I love rain, too, especially thunderstorms. I love to look up into the sky and just imagine the awesome power of God. Makes me feel so small!

What an uplifting and encouraging post you left me, Kathy, about the passing of my aunt & uncle. Thank you so much - it means alot, and I, too, rejoice in the example of their love for each other and their love of the Lord. Have a wonderful day! Blessings upon you and yours.

We've gotten a small shower two days in a row, and it seems like Heaven. Enjoy this fresh, renewing gift. Maybe we will both get more..

I have not done it in a while, but I love to take a nap on the bales of straw or hay in the barn when it is raining. I love to hear the rain on the metal roof. There is something calming about it.

It's been raining here too for the past few days. After being so dry, I am glad to have some rain too! I love the sound of rain too!

Glad you got some rain Kathy. I guess everybody likes to hear the sound of rain while trying to sleep.

Hasn't this rain been great? I listened to it last night when I woke up during the night. The plants really needed it.

I haven't done much blogging over the last few days, but I too love the rain, especially after we have suffered such heat for too long...

You always have so much natural color in your blogs it's always refreshing to read it and see the gorgeous growing things that just seem to flow out the ends of your fingers...Jim's too, of course.

I miss the rain, it makes me homesick. Here in Wobegon summer has finally come hot hot hot and muggy. To make it even worse we are moving in all that heat and humidity. I think I lost a little weight but I am sure it is all water. I love your pictures.

Oh, how nice, I love the sound and smell of rain.

Shelley, thanks! The bird bath is from Michaels' I think, and very affordable. A sister-in-law uses one like it as a candy dish on her coffee table.

Vickie, I hope you are all doing well and resting after losing such special people to eternity...knowing they are in Heaven still means we miss them here.

Southern Comfort & Nancy M., you all really, really need the rain! I saw more about your drought in the news tonight.Glad you got some.

Mary, I will often sip coffee while I watch my sheep in the sheep shed during the rain. The shed has a metal roof, and like you, I find it a comforting sound.

Susie, I love to go to sleep to the rain...and I miss the rain when there have been too many days without it. Our plants miss the rain too.

Catherine, YES!

Audrey, thanks. I can understand you not blogging, you have a daughter to be with, prayers for her speedy recovery!

Alice, I don't envy you moving in the heat. Carry a mister with you and use it liberally...drink your water too.Just watch out for those giant mosquitoes searching for water too.

Leslie, have you gotten much rain lately? In the desert?

Hi Kathy,
We also had some rain and what a blessing! It cooled the hot weather and make it so much better. Everything was getting so dry. I was so glad to get the rain. Hope you have a blessed weekend.

So glad you had rain and hope it broke the hot spell. There's nothing like rain to refresh, renew, relax; it's like tears of joy sometimes.

Just stopping by this morning to wish you a good Sunday Kathy. You and your family remain in my heart and prayers. Harriet sends a long distance smooch to you!

Hurray! I'm glad you have rain. I love awakening to that sound too. It makes such a difference when the world is cooled and washed with a fresh rain. Happy Sunday to you. :)
