In The Beginning

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." "He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him,to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God-" "The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father , full of grace and truth." John 1:1-3,10-12,14 Blessings: fellowship , Jesus, the Word, life, and light of men

I just love these verses. They give me such a wonderful sense of peace in the great power of a loving, merciful Creator. When I become worried about the economy, or about my future, I remember that I serve a God who created the world in which I live and it's hard to worry so much about little things after that realization!

Amy, Mildred, Daisy,Noble Pig, the verses are powerful, are they not ? I was going to comment on them after posting them, but how can I add to perfection?

Miss Linda, my family often make little jokes about me being a worrier...what, moi? Anyway, for me too, reading God's attributes and who HE is are comforting. They put life and trials and joys into perspective , don't they?

Miss Sandy, what an honor, of course.
