~"The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul, the statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than the honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward." Psalm 19:7 - 11
In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

Very good, very good indeed choosing that Psalm. Well to read that over and over. What a beautiful piece to meditate on.
What a lovely verse this morning. Enjoy your day Kathy.
This was especially nice to read this morning! And I love honey!
Do you harvest your own? Very, very nice.
Great verse and great photo. Daddy has been a bee keeper for 70+ years. It's fascinating to keep bees and a lovely way to see God's provision in real time.
Thank-you ! Whenever I read this passage of scripture I hear in my head in a melody.
Noble Pig, yes, my Hubby and oldest son keep bees, and have for 22 years. If we harvest enough honey we give it away as Christmas presents.
Tazewell County, VA..wow! 70 + years! Maybe that is the key to a long and healthy life, and I cannot reflect on Hubby's bees without reflecting on our Creator and His provision.
Bees are wonderful. The african bees have gotten to be bad in our area, so we have to be very careful. A man in our area died last year from an attack. Enjoyed your words, blessings, Kathleen
The blessings abound when we keep our eyes and ears open. Today I received several. Reading this verse, on your blog, was one of them. Thank you.
We have some friends that raise bees.
Kathleen, we had some pretty vicious bees a few years ago, we could not even cast a shadow on their hive without riling them up. They attacked our dogs if they were anywhere near the hives. We suspect they bred with some kind of bee pretty similar to the African variety, anyway, they died out during the winter and we have not had a hive that aggressive since.
Mary, thank-you so much!
Amy, do you get honey from your friends' bees ?
