In June 2016 we sold Cedar Pond and moved over the mountains and far away. We now live in Deer Park , WA where the weather is a bit more extreme than Cedar Pond's and in spite of the challenges we're rejoicing in life in our new home with field and forest just outside our back door. God is so good to us !

Sometimes It's About the Dogs!
~Mildred , another blogging friend asked if we had picked up any special ornaments from a shop we enjoyed on our trip to Depoe Bay and here's the answer. Yes Mildred, we found 3 ornaments we just had to bring home from Sleighbells, near Lincoln City.Here is one of them. This is a Jack Russell terrier ornament that seems to have been made for our youngest son and his wife who have 2 Jack Russells, Shotgun and Ruger by name. Shotgun and Ruger go everywhere with them and we hope they appreciate this ornament. (Shhhhhhhh, don't tell them about it though, it's wrapped up for them to open on Christmas )
~Here are the real live Christmas dogs, our puppies. 4 of our grandchildren dropped in this week while I was finishing up items to sell at the bazaar. Good thing I had sugar cookies to eat and red puppies to play with. Puppies and cookies at Grandmas.....how much better could it get? Here #1 Grandson is petting the pups.
~Before long, the puppies were worn out from all the excitement and began seeking refuge under #1Grandson, and snuggling themselves as close to him as they could get. That was the cue to put them back in their pen for puppy naps.~
~Another picture of Beatrix , and beside her is Hawk, the Vizsla.They are decked out with Christmas ribbons , but not appreciative at all of their apparel.Hawk is the father of the puppies, Beatrix is the half sister of the puppies. See the resemblance between these two and the pups ?

Spot on A Full and Wondrous Weekend
~Sleighbells, a shop in Sherwood , Oregon~ NOT to be missed !~
~~~This shop was on our way to Depoe Bay. I have wanted to stop here every time we pass the sign on the highway and this time my Hubby DID turn onto the road that took us to a wondrous shop. This is a Farm and Gift store. They sell Christmas Trees, farm produce, lots and lots and lots of unique decorations, Halloween and Christmas, and I imagine any seasonal items. I just know there was no place my eyes could land without spying Christmas baubles, ball, and items I had never seen before, and let me tell you, Hubby and I are great fans of Christmas decorations...outside there were some pretty peacocks, huge turkeys, and fluffy chickens. No matter how many chickens and turkeys I have owned, I cannot help myself stopping to look at other peoples' poultry.
~~~The exterior of this shop totally belies what awaits you inside ! It is huge, and you feel like you're on an adventure. I would wander into a room , be studying a display of ornaments and discover myself next to a table where someone was being served food, or tea. Yes, you can order and consume a meal here too !There are several rooms offering up goodies to eat.
~~~The gardens and vinyard surrounding Sleighbells are alone worth stopping to view !Here (below) a life size wood Santa watches you.
~So how was your weekend ? ~
