Look at how excited our ducks are to be released from their pen in the morning! As you can see, all the ducks now enjoy the water. Why, they are just ducky! And to think...all these ducks originally fit in 1 box and came to us through the U.S. Mail. Amazing!

Thank you for the note about locker hooking. You have been my inspiration. I love your work. :) I have had the worse time finding stuff. I have some roving here, there is a woman here who I kow I should be able to buy some from. I went to AC Moore thinking they would have all the stuff I needed, I found the locker hooks, nothing more. I went to Walmart, but they have downsized so much that, nope nothing there either, There is Joanns in Glens Falls, I am thinking about stopping there. Thanks for the idea. I did end up ordering some online just so I could get started. Wish me luck.

The joy of splashing in the pond - so funny how they each "taste" the water then waddle on in. I love their walk - looks a bit like me most mornings. They do have a lovely setting to just go quackers!

I loved it! I smiled the whole time it played and I had to watch it a couple times. The splashing, shady pond made me feel so cool and relaxed. I could sit and watch your ducks all day. Especially liked the sheep Baaing in the background, it added to the peaceful effect.
I sat on my swing this morning and watched our goose family. The kids were having a ball with the small apples from one of the trees. Yes, I call them kids. And they are wildlife even!
A duck waddles around, adding to their humor. And then there is the body language. Fascinating how they communicate with it.

Leslie, the pond is where my husband and I sit in the hot summer afternoons and evenings. We often eat our meals there and read books as the sun sets. We love sitting by our pond together.
Mary, yes! The ducks and geese communicate with their body language. They are comical to us, yet their body language is truly a means of survival to them. I love to watch my animals and often I spend considerable time observing them and trying to figure out what is the purpose of their actions / vocalization, etc. Sometimes it is enlightening.
That is just adorable! Ducks have this universal smile factor for people of all ages.
They sure grew up fast! That was fun seeing them hurrying to the pond. It reminded me of kids hurrying outside to play.
